Shot over the course of a year with a smartphone camera in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the USA, the video artwork Ribbon presents both an audio-visual investigation of various rural and urban environments, and of the act of film-making itself, focusing formally and thematically on structures, transitions, lines, ruptures and repetitions. The structure of edits and visual material in the video work is associative, bringing the viewer through a string of global locations and observed moments. The work exists in a two channel version (without titles and intended for looping) and single channel verison (with titles and intended for singular play-through)
