Ciarán Walsh (b. Ireland) is an artist based in Berlin, Germany. His work explores themes such as loss, transformation, identity, and precariousness. Working primarily through video, sculpture and texts, he explores the mediation of history, notions of place memory, and the functions of allegory; and draws upon sources from popular culture, the supernatural and natural world, folk traditions, and the heritage of European Romanticism.
