Sightlines (Towards a Film)

Sightlines (Towards a Film), explores a park located at the former East-West border in Berlin: the concurrently running fragments of video reference in turn Romantic-era landscaping concepts, the place-history of the park, the work’s own conditions of production, the former political border between East and West Berlin, issues of visual representation, and the recent drowning of a migrant man. The work originally arose out of a 2021 residency at ︎︎︎The Watch (Berlin) and is due for completion early 2024.
