Shot over the course of a year in Germany, Ireland, Italy and the USA, Ribbon presents simultaneously an audio-visual investigation of various rural and urban environments, as well an one into the act of film-making itself, focusing formally and thematically on structures, transitions, lines, ruptures and repetitions. The editing structure of the video work is, fundamentally, associational and instinctual.
