An artist’s novella which utilises the format of paperback science-fiction as a method to approach post-colonial critique of the European ethnographical museum. The near-future narrative of the book involves a peculiar sleep experiment in preparation for the first manned-mission to Mars. An historical starting point was the work of French caver and chronobiologist Michel Siffre. The cover design and layout for Vortices is by ︎︎︎Moritz Grünke. This work is in the permanent ︎︎︎‘Book Lovers’ collection at MuHKA, Antwerp.
