(Work in development)

A Claude glass, falling to the woodland floor from a hand no longer there, explores a park located at the former East-West border in Berlin: referencing Romantic-era landscaping concepts, the place-history of the park, the work’s own conditions of production, the former political border between East and West Berlin, issues of visual representation, and the recent drowning of a migrant man. The work originally arose out of a 2021 residency at ︎︎︎The Watch (Berlin) and is due for completion early 2024.

The work has been enabled in part by financial support from Carlow County Council’s Individual Arts Act Grant.
