Part of an ongoing body of sculptural work which examines allegory in the representation of nature within the tradition of German Romanticism. The starting point of this work was an attributed remark by Samuel Beckett on his play Waiting for Godot, as he stood in front of the 1819 Caspar David Friedrich painting Zwei Männer in Betrachtung des Mondes (Two Men in Contemplation of the Moon).
