Two complementary video works explore the surface materiality of online-streamed videos and intervene in their function as a medium of communal historical memory. Each video work visually rescripts a famous German Heimat (homeland) film from the 1950s, creating a new narrative out of scenes where human conflict, drama and upheaval unfold relentlessly against backdrops comprised of idealised cinematic representations of the German landscape.
